Meet David Anderson

David was born and raised in rural southeast Colorado, a third generation Coloradan.  He graduated from Lamar High School in 1996.   After high school David attended Brigham Young University and finished his undergraduate degree at Florida State University in 2002.  He returned home to Colorado to attend the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he earned his juris doctorate degree in 2005.

After graduating law school David worked in a general practice law firm in Lamar, Colorado where he represented clients ranging from court appointed, low-income litigants to multi-million dollar corporations.   After eleven years in southeast Colorado David and his family moved to northern Colorado where he has practice both as a part of a firm and as a solo-practitioner.

David currently focuses his practice on estate planning, estate administration, probate, business entities and real estate matters.  David has represented hundreds of clients in thousands of matters involving a broad range of transactional and litigation issues.  Additionally David has successfully defended nearly one-hundred appellate cases in the Colorado Court of Appeals.  David is proud that his current and past clients all come from a wide diversity of businesses, banks, governmental entities, municipalities, farm and ranch operations and individuals from all walks of life.

Outside of the practice of law, David’s life revolves around his wife and six children.  He loves being involved with his children’s activities which include soccer, swimming, dance, theater, church activities and a heavy dose of basketball.  David and his wife also serve as support staff for their boys’ lawn mowing business.  Far and away the question he is asked most often is, “how tall are you?”  The answer is seven feet – even.  The follow up question is often, “did you play basketball?”  He’s proud to have played college basketball for the Seminoles of Florida State University and still enjoys cheering them on.

Meet Chrysten Hinze

Chrysten is a native of northern Colorado. Early on in her law career, she served as a law clerk to an agency court dedicated to addressing environmental issues. She continued her legal path in Colorado serving as a county attorney, later transitioning into developing a long-term private practice.

Today, Chrys understands the dynamic perspectives among irrigation companies and municipalities as residential and municipal regions increasingly intersect with agricultural areas. She advises ditch companies, local districts, and other clients on areas such as property rights, development-related matters, corporate and administrative concerns, and real estate matters.

Chrys also enjoys helping her individual clients navigate estate planning (such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other advance directives) and post-death settlement of estates.

A graduate in Communications and Business from the University of Northern Colorado, Chrys earned her Juris Doctor degree from Notre Dame University. On the other end of the education spectrum, she engaged in paralegal instruction at a local college for many years and more recently has enjoyed helping with high school mock trial competition from time to time.

Outside the law office, Chrys takes advantage of recreating in the Rocky Mountains, the beaches of San Diego, and the woodlands back east.
